My favourite season

Winter is hands down my favourite time of the year? Why? Well, I can give you about a hundred reasons why, but for the sake of this blog, I’ll try to whittle it down to a small few. One huge thing I love about winter is that it gives me the chance to be a total recluse. In summer my friends are always going out and inviting me to places and I almost feel obliged to make an appearance. In winter it’s a totally different ball game. Everyone is staying at home because they want to avoid the cold. I absolutely love being at home following a ducted heater service. In the Canberra area it’s no secret that it’s absolutely freezing at this time of year, and I find my heater is always the best following a service. The lack of social activities also means I am a lot more productive and can really engage in some of my hobbies. All of my hobbies are very ‘homebody’, like painting or knitting. I find limiting my social life has really helped me get more things done in my spare time. Another reason winter is my favourite is you can control your temperature. If you’re feeling a chill or too cold, the solution is easy. All you need to do is put more layers on. In summer, this is not the case. You can basically strip down and sit under the fan with water poured on you and you still run a risk of feeling too hot. It’s such an inconvenience.

Every year I arrange my heater to be serviced just in time for the cold. I call up the most recommended heating repairs near Canberra and ask them to come by to help set up my heater for the winter. I like to do this every year to make sure that my heater is ready to handle the cold. My heater has never broken down and I firmly believe I have the services to thank for it. Now, if you don’t mind me, I’m going to crank my heater and relax with a nice glass of wine.
